Want to train with WHOmentors.com, Inc. to support an emerging designer selected to present during an official fashion week? Are you looking to gain a greater understanding of the fashion profession and complement your class work with your experience in the field?

Current fashion week activities:
WHOmentors.com, Inc. is recruiting up to thirty (30) executive trainees to volunteer in New York city to promote, sponsor, and produce activites prior to, during, and after an official fashion show for an emerging designer selected by ELLE STYLE360 to present during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, September 2011.
Executive trainees act in junior supervisory capacities to the Chief Executive Officer of WHOmentors.com, Inc., such as assistant department manager or staff assistant supervisor in WHOmentors.com, Inc., a nonprofit public benefit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, to learn company policies and procedures, and functions and activities of departments with view toward acquiring knowledge of all nonprofit business phases to sponsor and produce an amazing fashion show during New York Fashion Week 2011.
Executive trainees will be housed in a 24 hour live-work loft environment in Manhattan and will attend personnel training sessions to acquire knowledge of organizational setup, staff and line functions, and long and short range business objectives.
Executive trainees acquire, through on-the-job training in departments, such as fundraising, public relations, information technology, production, legal, marketing, and personnel, an overall knowledge of WHOmentors.com, Inc. business functions and activities during New York Fashion Week 2011.
New York Fashion Week is an exciting and dynamic experience, which means WHOmentors.com, Inc. will select executive trainees who are friendly, appealing, and more than ready to embrace every aspect of this adventure.
Requirements
A practical knowledge of all aspects of fundraising
The ability to create a development plan for the fashion show
WHOmentors.com, Inc. will develop an individual workday plan for each executive trainee that will conform to follow standards:
- The training, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of WHOmentors.com, Inc., the employer, is similar to that which would be given in a vocational school;
- The training is for the benefit of the executive trainees;
- The executive trainees do not displace regular employees, but work under close supervision;
- The employer, WHOmentors.com, Inc., that provides the training receives no immediate advantage from the activities of the executive trainees and, on occasion, its operations may even be impeded;
- The executive trainees are not necessarily entitled to a job at the conclusion of the training period; and
- The employer, WHOmentors.com, Inc. and the executive trainees understand that the executive trainees are not entitled to wages for the time spent in training*.

All executive trainees are volunteers of WHOmentors.com, Inc. for purposes of labor classification.
WHOmentors.com, Inc. will select candidates for consideration who can advance their own funds for the operation of this internship (Rockefeller v. Commissioner) or funding can come from their social network of friends, family, and community using an online fundraiser page created by WHOmentors.com, Inc.

NOTE 1: A video submission is a minimum requirement of our application guidelines!
NOTE 2: If you don't own a camera we encourage you to ask around and try to borrow a camera from a friend or relative.

NOTE 4: Be creative in providing evidence you are the "age of the majority" (over 18).
NOTE 5: You have up to 15 minutes to showcase you are friendly, appealing, and more than ready to embrace every aspect of this adventure. Be sure to indicate how you can influence the success of this fashion show on a national level, if not an international level.

NOTE 7: After videos are published, you can update your Facebook/Twitter status with the video link. The first 30 candidates with 1000 views with likes and comments on youtube/facebook before July 28, 2011 will be eligible. The top 20 candidates who can advance their own funds ($3,000) or can conduct online fundraising by the deadline of July 31, 2011 will be selected. Fees cover all expenses associated with this internship.

The name of the celebrity fashion designer will be released to the final list of executive trainees.
